Our research and development programs make us a technology leader with advanced methodologies and tools to predict potential consequences, analyze risk, and design protection, prevention, and mitigation systems for such catastrophic events.

Our Canadian office located in Burlington, ON is seeking an in-office full-time entry level engineer in our Blast Effects section.

The successful applicant will assist senior staff members in evaluating flammability and explosion phenomena; predicting blast and fragment loads; researching explosions; and preparing technical proposals, reports and presentations. A large focus of the position will be supporting consequence- and risk-based facility siting studies (FSSs) for BakerRisk® clients located in North America and supporting propane quantitative risk analyses (QRAs) for BakerRisk® clients located in Ontario, Canada.

The position is in-person (i.e., not remote). Travel is required and may be up to 50% of working days, primarily within Canada and the US; candidate must be able to secure status to work in the US for project work (e.g., on a TN Visa). Limited travel outside of North America would also be expected. Most trips would be less than 5 days. Travel to several client sites within a given month should be expected.
