Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants, Inc. (BakerRisk®) is seeking a project level code professional with an interest in fire protection, fire prevention and/or risk management to join our New Jersey team. This position is open to individuals with at least 5 years of experience of code implementation and/or compliance in complex environments. Experience with hazardous materials storage, processing and handling facilities is desirable.

This position is located on the second floor of a historic building; requires the lifting and handling of goods, tools, and test equipment; and involves a significant amount of time in the field requiring physical exertion and full mobility. As such the successful applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs., walk on unlevel/unimproved surfaces, bend and kneel, stand/walk for long periods of time, and climb/descend stairs and ladders without assistance.
The successful applicant will be required to wear personal protective equipment and endure prolonged exposure to the weather, water, heights, odors, dirt, dust, and other physical discomforts.
The applicant can expect 20 - 30 % travel, as a minimum. The majority of BRP’s current work is located in the continental U.S. However, overseas travel may be required for some projects.
The applicant must have a valid driver’s license.
The position will be located in Medford, New Jersey (Greater Philadelphia area). Remote working is not an option at this time.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $95K to $150K exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at BakerRisk, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as country location, (i.e., US, Canada, UK), skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role and is dependent on experience. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.
